Geoff was one of the great clubman to Delacombe Park Cricket Club having held multiple roles and responsibilities stretching over 30 years of service to help shape and make Delacombe Park the great cricket club it is today.
As a 4 time premiership player, we heard many stories about Geoff having been a 1stXI player for many years as a Wicket Keeper turned batsman. Having faced up against some of the great Quicks to have played the Mornington Peninsula including the Rodney Hogg to whom apparently kept bowling quicker and shorter at Langy whilst Langy kept hooking him to the boundary.
In his later years he dropped keeping and took up bowling, making his name around the club as one of the great crafty swing bowlers the club has ever seen. His record since “myCricket” was introduced speaks for itself.
